It is the most important thing we have ever done in our lives, the
biggest decision I personally have ever made! To move some of the cats in our care to some of the BEST ASA Accredited
Sanctuaries in the United States. We are blessed that they will have a forever home. Nikita, a 7yr old white tiger,
who came to us in July 2011 after her owner passed away, she was used as a photo baby and on display to the public as a cub
and Adult tiger, she is permanently scared mentally from the abusive expirence of being chained down to a wooden box for photos,
living on a cement slab in a small enclosure, her owner breeding her for cubs, just for money! Nora a 10 yr. old
white tiger, was also a photo baby, living in the same unclean conditions as Nikita, was bred for cubs, which remains unknown
where they ended up. My heart sunk as I went to see what I was in for the previous day before we picked them up. Nora looked
like a walking skeleton, I cried as I watched her hover in the corner of the the cage 10X10 shared with a over weight
male tiger, as I watched the food being pitched into a hole in the chainlink cage, the male would not let her get even one
piece of meat, she was petrified to even move or he would attack her. I wanted to take her away from all this right at that
moment! Nikita was the dominate in her cage on the other side of Nora keeping the male tiger from eating she had the survival
instinct, always looking over their shoulders waiting to be attacked by the other starving tiger. Pens cover in fecies, green
water in water troughs, never dumped in months! Just a horrible existance for such beautiful creatures! So after a horrible
day of media and over 100 people in the mix of trying to load cats safely and get out of there, it was the worst day, but
we beelined out making sure no one followed us. The media and all the people could have been avoided, but the person in charge called
the media himself, like he was the good guy, never thinking of the cats! He didn't care, they were one problem out of the
way.
Once here at Tiger Paws we prepared caging for the cats, new peremiter
and the best care we could give them. Clean dens, which they never had in their life, good food, and toys, the best we could
offer them. We have brought them this far, and now we have made the right decision to place them somewhere they can have so
much more room, and live their lives as tigers should! Also our cougar Tasha who escaped from her owners garage, after living
in it for 9 years! She was almost shot by Law Officials until she came back to her so called home, for she was scared and
hungry. Thank god she did, we went immediately and picked her up and gave her the best we could offer. But now she will
have companionship, and a huge natural enclosure, something she has never had in her life! I will not stand in the way
of the cats happieness, and I am truely grateful for they will be at such wonderful places.
With laws & legislation, ban bills, passing through out the U.S.
I know in my heart they will be safe & well cared for. I know I have protected them all this time to the best of my ability.
They are healthy, and happy and content. But their future is secure and even better then Jose & I can offer them. I know
the cats are in very good hands, thats all that matters. And as difficult as it is for us, in my heart its for the well being
of he cats!
You can read about them and donate for this expensive move and help
